Safety

Posted by senorsenor on August 11, 2008

Recently I have been confronted by the “safe” Gospel.  Basically this is when a church or an individual takes the very subversive words of Jesus and makes them much less subversive.  I have seen a lot of this in Christianity lately.  Churches don’t want to offend anyone.  They don’t want people to feel uncomfortable.  They don’t want people to not like what they have to say.  Thal all makes sense to me.  I don’t go out of my way to offend anyone either and I don’t like when people dislike me.  But the problem is that the words of Jesus made people uncomfortable.  They were dangerous thoughts.  I am tired of people trying to make it seem like Jesus is a safe God.

Registration

Posted by senorsenor on August 7, 2008

I have decided that having to pay to register your car is simply ridiculous.  I just bought an awesome new car and it cost almost 300 bones to register it.  My old car cost about $45.  This is stupid.  It doesn’t cost the MVD any more to register my new car than it did the old one.  I don’t even know why you have to pay to register your car anyways.  If the government wants to require that I do so then I think it should be on their tab.  Anyways, that’s my rant.

Favre

Anyone else sick of hearing about Brett Farve?  I can’t even watch Sportscenter lately because I can’t stand hearing about the “latest on the Farve saga.”  I think what they need to do is not talk about it until he is traded and then just have one story on who he was traded for and that can be the end of it.
